Reflective writing about art

Beach

Today I was excited because we were doing painting today at art. First we sketched a big picture of the beach.

After that we painted our drawing. I chose light blue because it's the same colour as the sea. The funny thing that happened was when Leilani was laughing all the time. Mrs Young discovered that she got the black came from old class. We had to used black that feels like Jelly.

Speed Boat ride on a board

I was staring at the other kids who were pulled by a jet ski.

We are all going to die .... Then it was our turn. The engine rumbled loudly. The water snatched my breath away. I yelled. I held on tightly to the board, scared to fall off. Then the boat turned and my brother fell off

the board. I yelled, “GEN, were are you?” No one replied. Where could my brother be. Then I spotted him in the water. “There he is,” I yelled.

Finally we were safely on dry ground. Do I want to have a board ride again? I don’t think so.

Water Cycle

The main parts of the water cycle are evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and collection.

Evaporation
Water evaporats all the time. The sun warms up the water in lakes and puddles. The water changes into a gas called vapour. The vapour goes up into the air.

Condensation
When the vapour cools down it turns into water droplets .
This is called condensation. You need 1000,000 water droplets to form one rain droplet.

Precipitation
The wind pushes the clouds over land. Tiny rain droplets
join together to form more clouds. When the clouds become
too heavy the water droplets precipitate as rain.

Collection
Most of the water falls into the oceans. Water always run down hill into lakes and waterfalls. It also sinks into the ground where it stays for a while. Then the water cycle starts again.

The windy day

The wind was rustling through the windy
trees.

The wind was snatching my book away as if it wanted to play tug of war.

The wind was waiting to say hi.

The flowers were bullied by the king
of the wind.
